Reaching out to a Community of Support

Welcome to Mia’s Carelines page! Thank you for coming to support Mia in her journey of recovery. Here you can:

On October 8th, 2024, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). I receive multiple blood transfusions, platelet transfusions and chemotherapy. I have many lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies, which are very hard on me. The symptoms are overwhelming; I experience hair loss, memory problems, and anxiety attacks became a part of my life. I also became diabetic and undergo early menopause. Hospital visits are restricted due to my weak immune system, which make things even more difficult. I feel so weak that I cannot walk, get dressed or even shower without help. I often struggle with not being able to eat. I have missed important holidays and family gatherings because I was stuck in the hospital, or I was often feeling too unwell to join them. Each day has been a challenge. I feel useless because I can no longer provide for myself. Although it is hard, I continue trying to stay hopeful for a positive outcome.
